Leadership. Vision. Results.
Rocky Hill is vibrant, strong, and ready for the future. Our town is consistently ranked at the top for our strong schools. Rocky Hill is a great place to raise children, for young professionals to thrive, and for seniors to retire.

"Six years ago, I asked for your vote - not just to lead, but to listen."

Meet Mayor Lisa Marotta
My name is Lisa Marotta and serving as the Mayor of Rocky Hill for the past 6 years has been one of the greatest honors of my professional life. For three terms, I’ve had the privilege of working side by side with you - my neighbors, my friends, and my community - to make RockyHill stronger, safer, and more vibrant. I am not just a mayor, I am a Rocky Hill mom with a student in our school system. Every day, I wake up inspired by the trust you’ve placed in me and driven by a simple promise: to always lead with integrity, compassion, and vision.
As a proud mother of three and a lifelong advocate for education, public health, and sustainability, I know that the choices we make today shape the opportunities our children will have tomorrow. That’s why I’ve dedicated years of service to building a community where every voice is heard, every family is valued, and every resident has a chance to thrive.
Beyond Rocky Hill, I've worked to amplify our community's voice at the state and regional level. Twice appointed by Governor Ned Lamont, I serve as a Municipal Representative on Connecticuts's Opioid Settlement Advisory Committe and its Finance & Compliance Subcommittee- ensuring that recovery resources are managed with both fiscal responsibility and compassion across the state. I'm also proud to serve on statewide and regional boards, including the Public Health, Public Safety & Human Services Committee of the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities, the Policy Board of the Connecticut Coalition for Sustainable Materials Management. Each of these roles allows me to advocate for policies that protect your wallet, strengthen our community, build long-term solutions, and preserve our enviorment for generations to come.
My professional career reflects this same commitment to leadership and service. As Director of a women’s leadership academy at a Connecticut university, I empower the next generation of leaders to step forward with purpose, courage, and integrity. I’ve earned a Juris Doctorate, completed advanced studies in leadership for social justice at Harvard, and earned certification as a Connecticut Municipal Leader - because I believe learning never ends, and leadership demands both vision and expertise.
Along this journey, I’ve been humbled by the recognition my team's work has received. In 2023, I was awarded the Italian Medal of Recognition for Women’s Leadership (from Palermo, Sicily) - an honor that reaffirmed my commitment to inclusive leadership and civic advancement. That same year, I was named a Community Kindness Hero for serving others with empathy and integrity. And thanks to your incredible support, I was honored to be voted as one of Connecticut’s top community leaders and public servants in the Hartford Courant Reader’s Choice Awards in 2023,
2024 and 2025.
But awards and titles are not what drives me - service is. Leadership, to me, is about showing up, listening deeply, and doing the hard work with courage and accountability. From Rocky Hill to the state level, I’ve fought for policies that protect our neighborhoods, strengthen our schools, and helped build a vibrant community. And I believe the best way forward is together - because when we unite around shared values and bold ideas, there’s nothing we cannot achieve.
Yours in Partnership,
Lisa

Re-Elect Mayor Lisa Marotta
Dear Rocky Hill Residents,
Six years ago, I asked for your vote - not just to lead, but to listen. To build a community model that puts people first. Together, we've shaped a new vision for Rocky Hill - one rooted in sustainability, opportunity, and connection. With every decision, my administration has led with intention - grounded in strength, backed by action. Today, Rocky Hill stands as a model for forward-thinking towns - with long-term plans that deliver real results. We are investing in infrastructure, education, and sustainability, and doing it the right way: without borrowing for what we can plan for.
We have ushered in big wins without referendums, expanded affordable housing, strengthened neighborhoods, enhanced senior services, eradicated blight, made our schools stronger, and protected the quality of life you've come to expect from our amazing community - all while minimizing tax increases.
We did it together, through a global crisis, economic uncertainty, an unprecedented, highly competitive housing market, and growing state mandates. Through it all, I promised to protect your wallet using fiscally conservative strategies focused on long-range strategic solutions and short-term goals - and it is working. We have taken a proactive approach:
-Paying down old debt and avoiding unnecessary borrowing.
-Transforming the blighted section of Silas Deane corridor (Ames corporate headquarters) into a productive, attractive, mixed-use space that now serves as the anchor for creating a highly desired downtown AND is slated to be among Rocky Hill's top three commercial taxpayers in the next few years.
-Partnering with Connecticut Municipal Development Authority to pursue our vision for a Village District along the Silas Deane and down to the river, as identified in our Plan of Conservation & Development.
-Pursuing efficiencies by exploring expanded shared services with other communities and inter-town collaborations.
-Partnering with MissionCIT to expand our firefighting training facility without cost to the town - a move that supports public safety while also generating regional interest and economic activity.
All these steps reflect a larger truth: real progress doesn't happen overnight. It takes years of careful planning, community engagement, and responsible decision making. Long-term discipline and a community-driven agenda have Rocky Hill on a Better Path.
I am truly humbled by your trust in me and would be honored to serve you for another term.
Yours in Partnership,
Lisa
